After two days here on Praslin we have now, thanks to the efficient bus system, driven through most parts of this island. Yesterday, after doing some grocery shopping in Grand Anse, we took the bus to Anse Lazio in the north. This beach is known for being, if not the best, then one of the best beaches in Seychelles. We came there late in the afternoon and were amazed by its incredibly turquoise water and the lush beach with palm trees hanging over the white sand. We will most definitely spend more time on this beach.

Today, however, we wanted to go to the notorious Anse Georgette. This beach, as all beaches in Seychelles, is in theory a public beach, although, a resort has built accommodation next to three amazing beaches and thus made them "private". The only way to get there is to call one day before and ask for permission to visit their beach, which we did today, fortunately, tomorrow wasn't fully booked as today was. Instead, we went to Anse Volbert and enjoyed our first full day on the beach. Even though this beach isn't on the top ten list of Seychelles' beaches, I have to say it was fantastic, and I realise that we get rather spoilt here when it comes to beaches. Every time we visit a beach we get more and more impressed. Today we said to ourselves: "actually, this may not be one of Seychelles' best beaches, but it is certainly one of the most beautiful and natural-looking beaches we have ever seen!"
