Will you be my valentine?

Chocolate cake with raspberry mousse (gluten free and homemade)

This year we celebrated Valentine's Day one day later than normally due to a work trip that unfortunately was scheduled on this particular day, no, not mine :) On Friday arvo I felt especially creative and decided to bake something new, which after two hours in the kitchen resulted in a chocolate cake with raspberry mousse (picture above). To brag a bit, I think it was the most advanced and delicious cake I have ever baked before, and it was gluten free!

On Saturday morning, shortly after waking up, my friend called and invited us out to her boyfriend's cottage located about an hour south of Stockholm. After celebrating a friend's birthday in the afternoon, we were on our way to spend the rest of the weekend in the cottage. What a cozy weekend! After arriving, we prepared and had dinner (tapas) and enjoyed some good red wine. This was followed by a relaxing bath in the outside hot tub. It was both relaxing and a bit mysterious, sitting in the tub, surrounded by trees and lots of snow, looking up towards the black sky. Feeling quite tired yet relaxed, we went inside to sit next to the fireplace where we played games until late at night.
