Gifts from a very close friend at our summer holiday celebration lunch at work yesterday |
Last night we (my colleagues and I) made sure to celebrate our holiday. Due to the rainy weather, our plans changed from visiting 'Gröna Lund' (amusement park), not very pleasant to sit in a roller coaster while it's pouring down, do drinks in a bar. As we talked about our plans for summer and how it will feel to wake up on Monday when others go to work, I realised I compared it to graduating high school and waking up the day after feeling slightly empty. There may be a natural explanation for that though as I quit my job after 1,5 years. During this time I have met some amazing people that mean a lot to me, some of them I will keep close to me, thankful for their friendship. It did feel sad to leave work yesterday, knowing I won't see my very close friends at work every day from now, instead I will get to know my new colleagues and acquire new work experiences, which I obviously look forward to as well.
Exhausted from relaxing and realising that we are off work for eight weeks, we ended the night pretty early and I left to have a lovely chatty dinner at Hard Rock Café with my love. I fell asleep early, completely wiped out after an emotional yet happy day.
